Mukanya Kude tends to grow in swampy areas in the Southern and Eastern Africaês. It is a so called êUbaluwaê herb. This is the name associated with the plants of Southern Africa that are used to induce of ancestral spirits and opens minds to receive the messages of the ancestors.
Usage
Mukanya Kude is traditionally used by the Zulu as an ingredient of sacred root infusions. It is taken just before going to sleep, to aid in inducing spiritual dreams.
The Zulu's prepared the bark in an infusion of various potent dream herbs, but it can also be taken on its own as a tea. Let it steep in hot water for around 5 minutes. Drink the tea an hour before going to sleep.
